Students in Mrs. Koman’s 3rd-grade science classes have been exploring birds and their unique adaptations over the past several weeks. To wrap up the unit, students creatively applied their learning by designing their own birds, each featuring at least one adaptation to help it survive in its specific habitat. The project highlighted students’ understanding of how physical traits support survival while encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
