On Wednesday, December 3rd, three new school board members, along with one returning school board member, were sworn in. We extend a warm welcome and look forward to working with them. Please take a moment to read a brief introduction from each new member and their reason for joining the school board.
My name is Matt Bartlett. My wife and I have four children, two of whom are currently enrolled in the Knoch School District, and the other two will join the student body when they are old enough. My background is in IT consulting, including working with school districts and Technology Directors, as well as businesses of all sizes, to meet their short-term needs and long-term goals. My current role provides the opportunity to work with students in 6th through 12th grade. I wanted to join the board because I believe every student ought to have the chance to succeed in a safe, supportive, and academically excellent environment, and I want to build on the foundation laid by the previous and current board members. I also want to ensure we continue to emphasize and assist our students in finding that same success after graduation. I look forward to serving the students and faculty of Knoch!

As a 20-year resident of our community and a proud parent of two sons in the Knoch district, I’m fully invested in the success of our students and schools. I strive to serve our families with integrity, accountability, and a steady commitment to family values. I want to help foster an environment where academic achievement, strong trade pathways, fiscal responsibility, and character can grow side by side.
Professionally, I bring nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience. In my role on the development team of a large philanthropic organization in Pittsburgh, I help raise over $10 million each year to support essential community services. That work demands careful stewardship, transparent reporting, and a practical mindset about how every dollar is used. These are the same skills I will bring to our school district’s budgeting and long-term planning.
I’m passionate about strengthening families, equipping students for real-world success. I have spent years managing large fundraising initiatives, coordinating with diverse partners, and maintaining high ethical standards. Those experiences have prepared me to be a steady, thoughtful voice on the board.
Together, we can build a future for our students that reflects strong values, responsible leadership, and a deep commitment to excellence in every pathway they choose.
Serving together,
Lori Musloe

My name is Jake Weidner and I'm very excited for this opportunity to serve our community as School Board Director! My wife Kristen and I have a 6 year old son just started at Knoch Kindergarten (and he’s loving it!) while our 4 year old daughter will also be starting at Knoch next school year. We know our family is very blessed to live in Saxonburg with a community that we love and are eager to invest in.
My background includes military service (Navy, Aviation Electrician), local small business, pharmaceuticals manufacturing, corporate IT, project management, financial management, executing budgets, running cost cutting initiatives, and managing teams. I hope to leverage these various experiences to make common sense decisions for Knoch students, parents, and staff.
To me, running for school board was one small way to give back to our community and the school district that will be a big part of life for my family for many years to come. With your support, I’m hoping to help give all of our kids a top-notch education that reflects the hard-working family focused values of our community while making every tax dollar count.
Like most of you, over the past few years I’ve watched schools across our country make decisions that I did not understand and would not want for my own kids. Let’s work together to keep Knoch a common sense, family oriented school that we can be proud to send our kids to. I am grateful for the chance to serve and support our students’ future.
Don't hesitate to reach out!
