Mrs. Staples's 4th graders held the 2nd annual Punkin Chunkin contest in their science classes last week. It was a fun wrap-up to their forces and energy unit. The students spent the week designing and building catapults to launch mini pumpkins. They each got 3 launches during the competition.
Delaney Connell, Parker Wig, and Kaden Johnson were the winners with a launch distance of 9 feet 3 inches.
The students also tested their precision by attempting to land on a bullseye and knock down a wall of cups.
