Gas & Water Update

Knoch Families,

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your patience and understanding during the recent repairs to our water and gas lines. Your cooperation and support have been invaluable as we worked diligently to address these issues.

I am pleased to inform you that the repairs to the gas line have been successfully completed, and the gas supply to the building has been fully restored. The system has been tested and is holding the appropriate pressure. Gas service was reinstated after school hours today.

However, I must also address the challenges we encountered with the water line. While the water in our restrooms is safe for handwashing and other sanitary needs, we are taking additional precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of our students and staff. Samples of the water have been sent to a certified laboratory for thorough testing to ensure its quality before restoring access to water fountains.

During this time, I encourage all students and staff to bring water bottles from home for drinking purposes. Portable water stations will be strategically placed throughout the hallways for easy access and refilling as needed. Our top priority is the safety and welfare of everyone in our school community, and we are taking every measure to uphold these standards.

It is important to keep in mind that we are nearing the end of the school year. Although there have been bumps in the road, we are excited about what the future of the project holds. We will keep you updated on any developments regarding the water quality and the restoration of water fountains. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate through these challenges together.

Respectfully,

David Foley, Ed.D.

Superintendent
