Varsity Baseball Makes Playoffs

Varsity Baseball Update: Our Score: 6, Their Score: 5

Senior Braden Kriley started pitching Tuesday with the WPIAL playoffs on the line. He gave the Knights 4 2/3 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs. Braden then handed the ball over to Hunter Lang, who got his second victory of the season. Hunter gave up 2 hits and one run in 2 1/3 innings.

Another big day for Senior Brady Wozniak, who went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. The big hit was in the bottom of the seventh with bases loaded. Consequently, he hit a line drive in left-center obtaining a game-winning single. He knocked in Landon Harrison and Kyle Morgan with the tying and winning runs. Jacob Stallsmith was also 2 for 3 with one RBI. Logan Cypher tripled and had one RBI. Cooper Allison had one RBI.

This win put the Knoch Knights in the playoffs. Next game is against Shadyside Academy Friday, May 3 on their turf at 4:15 p.m.
