Congratulations to Knoch Junior Garrett Weston, who earned the rank of Eagle through Troop 53 in Penn Township. Garrett Weston is the son of John and Kelly Weston of Penn Township. Garrett’s Eagle project was to completely remove the landscaping at Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department, regrade the hillside, and plant grass so that it would be easier to maintain. This project meant a lot to Garrett because he is proud of his fire department. He is a junior member of Penn Township VFD and has completed hundreds of hours of training and has earned his Firefighter 1 and EMT certifications within the last year. He currently attends the Protective Services program at BCAVTS and hopes to become a professional firefighter.
